Marilyn J. Zilka, CFP® is a Financial Planner with Ehlert Financial Group, Inc. and a Licensed Advocate of Protected Tomorrows®.
She joined Ehlert in April of 2007, after a successful 30+ year career with several Wall Street firms. For the last 20 years, she worked as an institutional equity salesperson with PaineWebber/UBS and Bank of America Securities. Her clients included bank trust departments, insurance companies, portfolio managers of mutual funds and investment advisors.
Her interest in the special needs community comes from Brent, the son of a close college friend. Brent has been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome, a genetic developmental disability. Whether it was at a football game, a hike in the woods, or a visit to Chinatown, it was Brent’s infectious smile and friendship that moved Marilyn to assist those families in a life planning process for their loved one.
Marilyn focuses on retirement planning, asset allocation and investment analysis, insurance solutions, college funding and estate planning. Marilyn received her BA in Economics from Northwestern University and her MBA in Finance from Loyola University. Her FINRA (NASD) licenses include Series 4, 7, 24 and 63. She also holds an Illinois Life & Health Insurance License. She completed her CFP® through Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies in 2006. Marilyn resides in Chicago, Illinois.
